This Amazon Basics 12 sheet crosscut shredder with contrasting silver head and black basket comes with a separate throat for cds and credit cards (one at a time) This shredder offers the patented shred safe feature which will automatically shut the shredder off if foreign objects are inserted. The 8.7 " throat is angled for easy paper insertion for shredding. The shredder is designed for medium duty use which is 25 to 50 passes or 600 sheets daily and has a 5 minute on 30 minute off duty cycle. It features an integrated handle for ease of emptying the 4.8 gallon wastebasket. The crosscut confetti like shred size is 2.17" long x .22" wide. The warranty is 1 year on the shredder and 5 years on the cutting blades.
